Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Copper Beech Pet Services offers Dog Walking, Overnight Home Boarding.
Yes, in fact we insist you make time for us, for a Meet & Greet before your booking starts.
We do not accept puppies under six months old, Dogs over 50lbs, incontinent dogs, Females in season, dogs that chew furniture or cause damage to household or personal items. Should there be damage caused by a dog in our home the dog owner must reimburse us for the cost of replacing the item(s). Dogs must be well behaved when walked on a lead and not show aggressive behavior to other dogs or people.
In addition to their food or treats you should take everything to ensure your dog's comfort. This must include their food, leads or harness, bowls and any bedding or cage they regularly use. It could also include: chews, towels, toys, poo bags and regular medication with clear instructions (medication must also have been noted on our Boarding forms)
Sorry, the answer to this question is no. It's our policy that dogs are never let off a lead and we also have to consider our business insurance cover. Some clients are prepared to supply an extension lead for exercise purposes however we will not exercise dogs on extending string type leads.
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled visit may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Our dog walking rates start at $15 for a 30-minute walk. Additional charges may apply for longer walks or multiple dogs.
while in our care we will have taken emergency numbers from you so we can contact you the owners of the pet that's boarding with us 24-hours a day. In the event of an emergency one of the business owners will normally collect the dog and if possible take it to their regular veterinary practice. If the regular vet does not operate a 24-hour service the dog will be taken to a local practice that does. All costs of the emergency treatment will be charged to the owner. You'll be contacted on the emergency number you have left and regularly updated on your dog's situation and progress.
It is important that your pet is fully up to date a minimum of 14 full days prior to their stay with us.
This is for your pets benefit as well as the welfare of any other guests.
All canine guests must be accompanied by an up to date vaccination record of a veterinary approved protection scheme against distemper, kennel cough, hepatitis, parvovirus, leptospirosis and other relevant diseases.
Any guests who do not have evidence of up to date vaccinations will not be permitted to stay in our home.
We must stress that it is the pet owner’s responsibility to maintain these treatments and Copper Beech Pet service will not be held responsible for any losses if we have to refuse a guest based on this. If in doubt, please contact us or your vet. Please remember if you've used us before that we will need a new copy of any vaccination records if the copy we hold has expired.
Nowadays there are many types of diets available for your pet. With this in mind, and to prevent any upset stomachs all guests must arrive with enough of their normal diet for the duration of their stay and instructions for feeding times and amounts on the box or bag.
As home boarders we do expect a certain level of damage and wear and tear from our canine guests, we understand beds sometimes get chewed or torn, toys destroyed or that we may get the odd accident on a rug for example.
However we are a luxury home boarding service, not a kennels. Our guests need to be used to being free in this type of environment. Any damage to structures such as doors or walls or sofas will be need to be repaired and or replaced at the owners expense to a maximum fee of £100 during their stay. It is minimal that we ever have to enforce this policy but not all guests are suited to home boarding, if we feel this is the case when we meet you and your pet when you visit us we will do our best to recommend alternative carer's in the area.
An assessment is necessary for all dogs that wish to attend our home boarding services. We regret that we cannot accept guests that are destructive, not house trained, show aggression to other dogs or have a high prey drive. We cannot accept a bitch either in season or due in season at the point of or during their stay.
We will accept entire males as long as they do not show aggression to other dogs, mount uncontrollably or scent mark excessively within the home environment.
In line with our council guidelines, any guests who present aggressive tendencies or pose a danger towards any other guests or people will be removed at our discretion and isolated. This has never happened, but as an approved, licensed and insured home boarding service we have to have this policy in place. Copper Beech pet service cannot be held responsible for any additional costs that this may incur.
We are unable to accept any dogs currently on the UK’s banned breed list, nor can we accept any dogs that have shown aggression towards people under The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
